Samuel, merchant, with wife Ann, admitted to church in Boston, 1 Oct, 1633.
Freeman 4th of Mar, 1633/4. Was one of the incorporators of Providence Plantation in 1637, but returned to Boston. He married about 1645, Elizabeth, widow of famous notary Thomas Lechford.
He died on the 29th of July, 1656. Bequeathed to wife Elizabeth and
sons Samuel, Joseph, Shadrack; to his man John Macklist, a Scotchman.
The widow married a third time, 20th of Feb, 1656, Henry Bishop.
