Misc. Notes
Sally Barnard was born around 1796 in Ontario. She married William L. Hamblin on October 27, 1816. They moved to New York in 1823, where William was listed in the 1830 Census in Jefferson County, next door to Sally’s brother Samuel. William and Samuel sponsored each other’s applications for citizenship in September 1834. A year later, in October 1835, Sally received a land grant in Enniskillen Township, Lambton County, Ontario, which they sold to William Spalding on December 7, 1839. Around 1865, Sally and William moved to Michigan, probably to be with or near their son Alexander. Sally died on April 7, 1890, in Battle Creek.
