This third Sir John was married August 15, 1522 to Benedicta Folgamsbe of South Dole, England and it was he who adopted the Dunham Coat of Arms as the family shield.  (It has been suggested that Benedicta Folgamsbe was the second wife of John (7th Generation), and not his daughter-in-law; see the Register entry for John (8th Generation) for details of this controversy.)  Together they had at least one son, Ralph (9th Generation), who was born in Scrooby, England about 1526
